Enjoying a Pimm’s on Frenchman and an Uppercut Cabernet Sauvignon.

BBQ shrimp was delightful. A bit messy, with having to peel each shrimp but the flavor was delicious. Portion size was perfect, would order again.
Red beans and rice were ok. Not quite enough flavor for our liking. But the side did not take away from the overall meal.

Broiled shrimp with loaded baked potato. Classic meal and delicious! Definitely do it again!

Following our meal, the server brought us a fresh lemon to squeeze into our hands and wash our fingertips with a damp clothe. So classic.

Napoleon House

Overflowing with history and character, this quaint place draws you in.

Drinks for this visit included an Old Fashioned and a Pimm’s Cup Original. Old Fashioned was smooth and refreshing, but not the best in New Orleans. The Pimm’s Cup was a little too tart but still refreshing.

Starting off an appetizer of Bruschetta. This appetizer has a pecan pesto over the crusty bread topped with mozzarella, parmesan and tomatoes. The crumbled parmesan is a little let down, fresh would have paired better. However the appetizer was definitely still in an order again list. Love the fresh French bread that has a little crunch but yet can taste that is fresh. The green olive pairs with it so beautifully and brings out all the right flavors.

Shrimp Remoulade Stuffed Avocado was our salad for the day and a MUST TRY. DELICIOUS! Light flavor.

New Orleans Jambalaya for a side has great flavor.

Down the Hatch

Although the bartender had never heard of having a tequila and cranberry and looked puzzled with a Bombay gin and tonic, the drinks are actually delicious. And the garnishing is colorful and fresh.

Bright, colorful wall art

Catfish Po boy was on day old bread. Nothing special

Shrimp Po boy was not worth writing about either.

Both came with same void for flavor and lack of service. We won’t bother to try again. But if you end up here, hope you get better service (something from someone with a smile, joy, or just even being okay with his job and willing to be present). Ugh

Good food at American Sector restaurant & bar

Spinach and Citrus Salad was perfectly portioned with all the right flavors!

Baby spinach, black pepper goat cheese, pickled onions, satsuma, dried cranberries, with citrus champagne vinaigrette.

Soup of the day. Crab and corn bisque garnished with cheddar cheese and sweet peppers.. A wonderful blend of flavors. It was a delightful midday meal.
Pecan praline creme brulee was our dessert. The creme brulee was smooth and rich, but not very sweet. Sweet. When added to your bite with the pecan praline, your sweet tooth was satisfied.

Don’t forget to have time to enjoy the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Great layout to an overwhelming amount of information.
